The block groups are intended to be areas small enough that neighbors encounter each other on a regular basis and are familiar with each other.
Residents in these areas experience the same sights, sounds and smells and typically have very similar concerns.
These groups are small enough to organize events or meetings in. They are a reasonably good size to pass out flyers on porches to, or to add members to a messaging group without it being to full and busy.
